2:24 a.m. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief, menacing and second-degree assault after police said he threatened a man with a hammer and threatening to return to the victim’s residence with a gun. Officers said the men apparently were involved in a scuffle over a woman.

8 a.m. A 27-year-old man from Craig was arrested on two fugitive-of-justice warrants and on suspicion of driving under restraint near Riverside Drive and U.S. Highway 40.



8:25 a.m. A truck in the 1400 block of Morgan Court reportedly was blocking a private driveway. The truck was towed.

9:14 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1900 block of Ski Time Square Drive.



9:38 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1800 block of Hunters Drive.

9:49 a.m. A woman in the 800 block of Pine Street reported her car had been damaged by her neighbor’s snowblower.

9:49 a.m. A man in the 2100 block of Clubhouse Drive reported snowplows pushing snow into parking spaces.

10:02 a.m. A man in the 2000 block of Walton Creek Road reported being assaulted Jan. 4 by a person he knows.

11:46 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near Lincoln Avenue and 10th Street.

12:19 p.m. A woman reported a red truck cutting people off and weaving in and out of traffic near Walton Creek Road and U.S. 40.

1:57 p.m. Someone in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue reported a “rock taking out the undercarriage” of his or her car.

1:57 p.m. A man in the 100 block of Hillside Drive reported losing his cell phone.

2:44 p.m. A woman reported losing her wallet in Steamboat.

3:51 p.m. A man near Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue reported a car parked in a handicap parking spot. The car was gone when officers arrived.

4:04 p.m. A friend of the man who was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault earlier in the day told officers his side of the story. A report was taken.

4:46 p.m. A woman in her mid-30s was taken to the hospital because she reportedly was having difficulty breathing.

5:03 p.m. A woman in the 3100 block of Lincoln Avenue was concerned that her child was hanging out with children whose father was “doing inappropriate things in front of the children.” Officers contacted the man. No arrests were made.

5:35 p.m. A woman in the 34000 block of Routt County Road 33 was taken to the hospital after her horse kicked her in the face. The woman might have broken her nose and told medics she didn’t remember what happened.

8:12 p.m. A man near Pine Grove Road and Rollingstone Drive reported children throwing ice at cars. Officers were told the children were hiding between snow banks, but they could not find them.

11:12 p.m. A 3-year-old girl in the 2600 block of Jacobs Circle reportedly fell on a radiator and burned her chest. The girl was not taken to the hospital.
