Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:25 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of shots fired near Routt County roads 80 and 76 in Hayden.
8:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of someone having written profane words on an elevator at One Steamboat Place.
9:23 a.m. Officers were called to a report of theft from a hotel in the 1800 block of Ranch Road. It is believed members of a cleaning crew had been stealing small items over an extended period of time.
12:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a stray cat on someone’s property in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.
3:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a civil dispute between Walmart and a customer. The issue was handled internally, and officers did not get involved.
4:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle that was unable to stay in its lane near mile marker 117 on U.S. Highway 40. The vehicle was parked when officers found it.
4:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 300 block of Ninth Street. A person was concerned after noticing their neighbor had changed their vehicle’s license plate from one state to another.
5:02 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a three-vehicle accident at mile marker 147 on U.S. Highway 40. One person had to be extracted from a vehicle and was flown to Denver in critical condition. Two other patients were transported to the Yampa Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
6:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an elderly man who had cuts and bruises on his arm near City Market. An ambulance responded to help.
7:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight between two men in the 1100 block of Clubhouse Circle.
8:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone in a vehicle tossing beer cans onto the ground in the 900 block of Weiss Drive. The vehicle was not located.
8:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle driving west bound on Lincoln Avenue that slammed on its brakes, after which a man tried to push a girl out of the vehicle. The vehicle was then followed and pulled over. The man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, careless driving and driving under the influence.
9:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a group of cyclists talking loudly while stopped near an intersection at Seventh Street and Pine Street. The group moved to a different location when asked.
