Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:31 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Someone chased off a couple of younger males who were in the exercise room.
1 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 1000 block of Crawford Avenue.
8:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of prescription drugs stolen at the Howelsen Ice Arena.
8:10 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who fell on the Longfellow Way.
9:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was repeatedly getting into a Dumpster in the 3200 block of Après Ski Way.
11:20 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1400 block of Morgan Court. A male was pointing some sort of gun up a tree, and someone told the male that he better not be shooting animals, and he ran away.
11:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost an iPad somewhere in the Steamboat area.
1:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was getting into trash that was not bear-proof in the 2800 block of Golf Stream Court.
1:57 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the first block of Valverdant Circle. A 30-year-old man died of causes that were not immediately known.
3:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Subaru that passed a scooter on a double yellow at Fish Creek Falls and Amethyst Drive.
4:44 p.m. A found wallet was turned in at the police station.
6:40 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain at the Routt County Jail.
8 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 900 block of Pine Grove Road.
9:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people getting too close to a bear at Fifth and Yampa streets.
9:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of aerial fireworks in the 100 block of Hillside Drive.
9:59 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a possible structure fire in the 100 block of Mountain Village Circle. Smoke was coming from a pot of burning food.
