7:22 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted a motorist on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 119 when the alternator in the car failed. A tow truck was called.

8:09 a.m. Deputies assisted a motorist on U.S. 40 near mile marker 123 when a bobcat was found under the bed of a truck. Animal control officers responded to the scene, and the cat was moved and released.



8:19 a.m. Deputies responded to Routt County Road 33A where a pickup was in a ditch. The car was tagged.

8:49 a.m. A missing juvenile was reported on Aster Place. The juvenile was found later in the day and arrested for minor in possession and criminal mischief. He was later released to his mother.



11:43 a.m. An officer was requested in the first block of Anglers Drive for a possible violation of a protection order. Police took a report and later arrested one male. The investigation is ongoing.

12:40 p.m. An officer was requested in the 800 block of Yampa Avenue, where a citizen filed a complaint about a neighbor’s use of an alley.

1:35 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1100 block of Saratoga Avenue, where a white male knocked once at a house before opening the screen door and trying the doorknob. The homeowner called police, but the male was gone when officers arrived.

2:18 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza where a vehicle was scratched. Police took a report.

3:09 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive, where a car was damaged in a parking lot. Police took a report.

3:32 p.m. A cold theft of an undetermined amount of cash was reported from a business office in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police took a report and the investigation is ongoing.

6:23 p.m. A bank alarm was accidentally sounded by a cleaning crew in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Everything was fine.

6:42 p.m. A two-vehicle, minor injury motor vehicle accident was reported on Colorado Highway 131 near mile marker 53. Injured parties were transported by ambulance to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

9 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported at Oak and 11th streets, where young juveniles were throwing snowballs at vehicles. The parties were contacted and requested to stop.

9:57 p.m. A fight was reported in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Officers mediated the dispute and sent the parties to their hotels in taxis.

10:30 p.m. A fight was reported in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where two of the parties continued the fight at a hotel. Police arrested two males for disorderly conduct.
