1:57 a.m. A 20-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and drag racing on Routt County Road 33. The man was stopped by police near 13th Street.

7 a.m. A 39-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested for being a fugitive of justice near Laurel and Grand streets.

8:21 a.m. A drunken 40-year-old woman wandered into her neighbor’s apartment in the 1200 block of Sparta Plaza, thinking it was her own. Officers helped guide the woman to her own home two doors down.



9:35 a.m. A mountain bike worth $300 to $400 reportedly was stolen in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:35 a.m. A 32-year-old Alamosa man was arrested on suspicion of driving under suspension in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.



10:37 a.m. A motor home reportedly hit another car’s mirror near Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. Officers later contacted the motor home’s driver and took a report.

12:34 p.m. Someone reportedly stole some gas from city-owned gas pumps in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway.

2:08 p.m. Someone reportedly ordered food worth $7.10 from a restaurant in the 1100 block of Yampa Street and left without paying for it. A report was taken.

2:51 p.m. A bronzed bird’s nest affixed to a rock in front of a statue of a family was reported stolen from The Sanctuary near Redwood Drive. Police said the nest, which is worth about $5,000, has been stolen several times.

4:24 p.m. A man on River Road put up cones in the middle of street to divert traffic so he could work on a tractor. Officers contacted the man and told him he could not do that.

5:56 p.m. A registered sex offender in the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue was reported to be in an area he was not supposed to be. Officers mediated the situation.

7:57 p.m. A woman near Butcher Knife Creek reported the water being cloudy because a construction worker upstream may have illegally dumped something in the water. Officers could not find any construction work in the area, but did see that the water was cloudy.

10:32 p.m. A suspicious man was reported in the 800 block of Weiss Circle. The man was gone when officers arrived.
