12:24 a.m. An 18-year-old New Hampshire man in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive was arrested on suspicion of possessing psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, hashish and drug paraphernalia after his Colorado Mountain College resident advisor smelled marijuana coming from his dorm room.
12:31 a.m. A 25-year-old Steamboat Springs woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding near Steamboat Boulevard and Sundance Court.
1:10 a.m. A man and woman reportedly were arguing loudly at a hotel in the 900 block of Pine Street. Officers gave the couple a verbal warning and helped the man find another hotel room for the night.
2:28 a.m. Two bicyclists reportedly collided on the Yampa River Core Trail near the Depot Art Center. One of the bicyclists was taken to the hospital because he broke several bones. Alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident, police said.
2:37 a.m. A drunken man reportedly was sleeping on the Routt County Courthouse lawn in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police contacted the man and gave him a warning.
12:20 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported near Oak and Ninth streets.
1:42 p.m. Two cars reportedly backed into one another in the 1800 block of Kamar Plaza.
2:01 p.m. A cell phone reportedly was lost near Central Park Drive and Pine Grove Road.
2:24 p.m. A 27-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue for being a fugitive of justice.
2:52 p.m. A gas pump credit card reader reportedly was damaged in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.
3:24 p.m. A Montrose man and woman were taken to the hospital from Colorado Highway 131 near Yampa where the car they were driving drifted off the road and down an embankment. They were released from the hospital Thursday night.
3:52 p.m. Someone allegedly attempted to alter a narcotic prescription medication in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. The incident is under investigation.
4 p.m. A small fire started west of Hayden during a lightning storm. Police said the heavy rain that accompanied the lightning extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived.
5:20 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near Lincoln Avenue and Hilltop Parkway.
5:28 p.m. A car reportedly hit a deer near Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza.
6:57 p.m. Two employees in the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue reportedly were arguing. A 48-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of harassment.
