Teen Council hosts ‘Unveiling Voices,’ mural celebration May 29

Steamboat Springs Teen Council is inviting the community to an “Unveiling Voices” event to celebrate the end of the yearlong Youth For Youth mental health campaign 6-7 p.m. May 29 at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore, 68 Ninth St. in downtown Steamboat Springs.
The Youth For Youth, or Y4Y campaign has been a yearlong initiative that covered topics such as substance misuse, connection and wellbeing, common mental health challenges and breaking the stigma.
The May 29 event will recognize the work of Teen Council and celebrate community involvement and support for youth mental health. Youth from across the community came together to paint a mural titled “The Four Seasons of Mental Health” that will be revealed and displayed at Off the Beaten Path.
“Our goal is to help the Steamboat community, especially youth, to know they are not alone in their mental health struggles and educate about the numerous resources available,” according to Teen Council.
The event will feature free drinks and cookies, giveaway prizes and subs from Yampa Sandwich Co. For questions, contact ssteencouncil@partnersyouth.org.
