Techs continue to work on CenturyLink, Verizon outages across Colorado

ASPEN — Technicians continue to work Friday on widespread internet issues that started Thursday morning and affected much of the country, including Routt County and large portions of Colorado.

CenturyLink, which was one of a number of companies experiencing outages, tweeted Friday morning that they continue to work on the problem and are making progress.

Their crews, as well as Verizon, DirecTV, Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and others experiences outages across parts of the United States and Europe.

At about 1:54 a.m. Thursday, reports of internet outages were starting to come in from CenturyLink customers in a handful of states across the country. Within six hours, the outage had spread across most of the continental U.S., including Colorado.
