Team applications being accepted for Winter Carnival snow sculptures

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Community members and high school students are encouraged to put together a team of five for the 2019 Winter Carnival snow sculpture contest. The 2019 theme is “Blast of Winter: Snow Play.”

Snow sculptures are packed and carved on Lincoln Avenue and prizes are awarded Feb. 6 and 7. Community teams compete for Best in Show and People’s Choice awards. Scholarship prizes are awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams. Applications can be found on SteamboatCreates.org and submitted to sylvie@steamboatcreates.org by Monday, Jan. 28.
