Saturday’s Taste of South Routt will feature tiny house yurt

Matt Stensland

The South Routt community is gearing up for a full day of food, music and fun during the 20th annual Taste of South Routt.

“It’s kind of a thank you to the community for supporting South Routt,” said Julie Hoff, who is helping to organize the event.

The Taste of South Routt will run from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 23 at Decker Park in Oak Creek.

There will be music all day from performers Belinda Rosse, Dave Moran, Myria Rodeman and Pie Lombardi. Sugarleaf will be the closing act.

Admission to the event is $1, and there will be at least six vendors.

There will also be beer with $2 mystery beers and $4 micro-brew mystery beers from breweries throughout Colorado.

“We just have a big pile of beer, and you grab one, and you get what you get,” Hoff said.

Local businesses and artists will be featuring their goods and work. Also on display will be a tiny house with a yurt built into it.

“The rest is just fun, and the weather is supposed to be great,” Hoff said.
