Sustainability Council community meeting is Nov. 7

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Yampa Valley Sustainability Council will host its next public community meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Centennial Hall Rooms 113/114, 124 10th St. in Steamboat Springs.

The purpose of the community meeting is to provide the public with updates about the council’s current sustainability initiatives and upcoming events, as well as those of other environmental nonprofits and local governments.

In November, Routt County’s draft waste diversion strategic plan will be discussed. Since January, a group of community members have been meeting to develop a waste diversion strategic plan. The group has identified six priorities to focus on and is now seeking community feedback. For more information and meeting agendas and minutes, visit
