Suspicious skateboarders: The Record for Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018

12:53 a.m. A Steamboat Springs Police Department officer noticed several flashlights around a car at Second and Maple streets. It was a band loading equipment.

1:02 a.m. Officers were called to a suspicious incident at Seventh and Oak streets. A person reported hearing a loud noise that sounded like shattering glass. Then a man jumped off a single-story building. Two men left the area on skateboards. Officers spoke to the men, who said they were trying out a new electric skateboard.

6:08 a.m. Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers and North Routt Fire Protection District EMS were called to a rescue in the Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area. A 54-year-old Steamboat woman with a possible broken leg was airlifted to UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center before EMS or volunteers arrived.

8:31 a.m. Officers were called to a suspicious incident in the 600 block of Meadowbrook Circle. The incident was related to an ongoing civil dispute between a couple, and property was damaged.

10:43 p.m. Officers received a report of a drunken or dangerous driver in front of a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A Ford with Utah plates stopped in front of the bar, and the driver was unable to maintain lane or speed. Officers found the vehicle unoccupied.
