Sunday morning squall disrupts power for much of Routt County

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — A late morning storm knocked out power for much of Routt County, including parts of Steamboat Springs, Milner, Clark, Oak Creek and surrounding areas, according to the Yampa Valley Electric Association.

More than 4,000 members were impacted by the outage.

Power was restored to buildings west of Steamboat by 2 p.m.

Around 4 p.m. YVEA said power was restored to most members impacted by the outage.
