Summer bus schedule starts Monday in Steamboat

— Steamboat Springs Transit will put its winter bus schedule in the rear view mirror on Monday and replace it with the summer schedule.

Transit Manager Jonathan Flint said that aside from a few slight tweaks of arrival and departure times for some routes, riders will see the same summer service and routes they had last summer.

The summer schedule does not include any cuts or big changes like this year’s winter schedule did.

Some notable differences between the current winter schedule and the summer schedule include the return of the Yellow Line and its on-call service, and the return of the Red Line that runs from the Steamboat Springs KOA Campground to the Gondola Transit Center.

Hilltop Parkway residents will see the Yellow Line once every hour, while a bus will travel to Colorado Mountain College twice an hour.

There is also on-call service available to Yampa Valley Medical Center and the Selby Apartments.

The full bus schedule is attached to the end of this story.

Riders can track buses in real time and view route information at http://www.steamboatsprings.net/transit.

And smartphone users can also download the RouteShout app to get bus information in real time.

The summer schedule runs through Dec. 5.
