2:00 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he failed to stop at a stop sign at Pine Grove Road and Pine Grove Circle.

2:26 a.m. Officers were called about people being too loud in a jacuzzi at a condominium complex in the 2400 block of Ski Trail Lane.

7:44 a.m. Employees at a hardware store in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza accused two men of stealing $375 worth of items, including a knife, flashlight and mechanical parts.

8:05 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters responded to a fall at a senior living center in the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail.

9:42 a.m. Officers received a call from a disgruntled, former employee of a business in the 1000 block of Walton Creek Road. The person had been fired and wanted their belongings back from their former office.

11:52 a.m. A resident in the 600 block of Harms Court complained to officers that people have been using an old walking trail to trespass through his property.

1:14 p.m. A former employee of a restaurant in the 100 block of Ninth Street has been sending malicious texts to the restaurant owner and employees threatening to ruin the business.

4:12 p.m. Officers were called about an elderly woman who was having trouble crossing the road at 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

4:27 p.m. A man lost his skis after leaving them on a shuttle bus at Steamboat Resort.

4:55 p.m. Steamboat firefighters evacuated three people stuck in an elevator at a hotel in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.

6:29 p.m. A man stopped at a traffic light at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln began yelling at another driver to get out of their vehicle. The other driver could smell alcohol on the man and called officers. The man was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

9:51 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called about a disturbance in the 500 block of Wood Bend in Oak Creek.

Total incidents: 43

  • Steamboat officers had 25 cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Sheriff’s deputies had six cases that included calls for service and officer-initiated incidents such as traffic stops.
  • Steamboat firefighters responded to nine calls for service.
  • West Routt Fire District firefighters responded to two calls for service.
  • North Routt Fire District firefighters responded to one call for service.
