Strings Music Festival has announced the lineup for its 39th season, with a wide mix of classical music, roots, rock, jazz, comedy and community events this summer in Steamboat Springs.
The schedule includes 34 concerts, more than 20 free community programs and a roster featuring 18 Grammy Award winners, with shows held at the Strings Music Pavilion.
The lineup is notable for its mix of marquee names and genre-spanning programming, from Herbie Hancock, Graham Nash, Little Feat and Steve Earle to Tig Notaro, Cat Power, Marty Stuart and TajMo.
Strings is also adding new formats this year, including standing-only shows and general-admission concerts with dance space for select shows.
“This season reflects the spirit of Strings,” said Strings Music Festival Executive Director Elissa Greene in a recent news release. “In a town known for authenticity and excellence, we present exceptional artists in a setting that feels personal and accessible.”
“From the Pavilion to parks and community spaces across the Yampa Valley, we aim to create meaningful opportunities to connect artists and audiences,” she added.
Free events, family-friendly activities and outdoor programming are also part of the push to connect artists with the Yampa Valley community in more informal settings.
