Streets closed Saturday for Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup

In connection with the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup’s Show and Shine event Saturday, the following streets will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Lincoln Avenue: eastbound and westbound lanes, Lincoln at Fifth Street to Lincoln at 11th Street
  • Seventh and Eighth streets from Lincoln Avenue to the alley on the Oak Street side.
  • Sixth, Eighth, Ninth and 10th streets from Lincoln Avenue to the alley on the Yampa side.

As in past years, the city’s special event officers will be assisting during each event with traffic detours and any other traffic or emergency needs. “No Overnight Parking” signs will be posted the day before the street closures.

Increased traffic enforcement for Whittle the Wood Rendezvous

The annual Whittle the Wood Rendezvous in Craig takes place through Sunday, June 17, and Colorado State Patrol troopers will be out working in and around the event to ensure a safe and secure environment for all participants.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution around this year’s festivities as there will be additional pedestrian traffic related to the event. There are also free shuttles departing from numerous locations in Craig to the event at Loudy-Simpson Park on Saturday. These shuttles will leave every 30 minutes from town.

The State Patrol reminds all drivers to buckle up and plan ahead to have a designated driver, ride the free shuttle or take advantage of local taxi cabs while enjoying this year’s Whittle the Wood Rendezvous.
