1:25 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 1300 block of Athens Plaza.

9:37 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of $40 worth of merchandise stolen from a hardware store in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza.

11:28 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a woman possibly having a stroke in the 200 block of 12th Street.

11:57 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who fell at a retirement community in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

2:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who returned from being out of town and discovered things missing from his house in the 1300 block of Mark Twain Lane.

7:31 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to investigate an odor in the 600 block of Mountain Vista Circle. Several residents said it smelled like paint thinner or an aerosol was coming from a manhole. The water department was investigating.

10:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person’s friend being assaulted after getting off the bus. The friend was reportedly hit in the head with a bottle by an unknown male.
