Stock up on local art, crafts, fun at Holidays in the Rockies

Holidays in the Rockies market will feature more than 50 local artisans and crafters.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Holidays in the Rockies artisan market returns to Steamboat Springs on Saturday, Dec. 7, offering wintertime shoppers a unique assortment of local, handmade arts and crafts, as well as a fun day of activities.

The majority of the 50-some artisans represented at the market are from the Yampa Valley with goods ranging from leather to wood, paper goods to jewelry to soaps. Rice and Roux will sell food items, and Big Iron Coffee will sell coffee. Bred Bakery keeps the day’s vendors energized with breakfast.

The market also features music, photo opportunities with Santa and a drawing.

“This is one-stop-shop Christmas shopping and a long-running tradition in Steamboat,” said Steamboat Creates’ Development Director Dagny McKinley. “The spirit of community here is so prevalent, and that spirit is what makes the holidays what they are.”

The market is set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Strawberry Park Elementary School, 39620 Amethyst St.
