Steamboat’s Arielle Gold wins Olympic bronze in the halfpipe

BOKWANG PHOENIX PARK, South Korea — Steamboat Springs snowboarder Arielle Gold won bronze in the halfpipe minutes ago on her third and final run of the competition.

Gold scored an 85.75, which moved her from fourth place to third, and she found redemption after bowing out of the Sochi Games with a dislocated shoulder.

American teammate Chloe Kim captured the gold with an incredible first run. She topped that with a third run that scored 98.25.

China’s Liu Jiayu won the silver with an 89.75 on her third run.

Kelly Clark finished in fourth place with an 83.50.
