— The Steamboat Springs woman who was pinned under her car Tuesday morning on the west side of the city was in critical condition late Wednesday afternoon.

Police on Wednesday identified the woman as Maria Eliazar “Elia” Aragon Carrion, 56. She is being treated at Denver Health Medical Center.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on icy roads. Carrion’s Ford Explorer Sport Trac went off the road and rolled several times. Police said the woman was not wearing her seatbelt, and she was ejected from the vehicle.

Police officers and witnesses were able to lift the car off of Carrion. She was the only person in the car.
