The Tennis Center at the Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex will reopen Wednesday following $2.8 million in renovations.
The renovations began in July. Repairs undertaken include replacing insulation, updated lighting, and resurfacing and repainting indoor tennis courts. A grand opening is scheduled for Dec. 1.
“We have made incredible progress on the Tennis Center renovation project,” said Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex Executive Director Meg Tully. “We are two-thirds of the way finished with our fundraising goal to complete the project.”
The last step is refreshing the welcome center, which includes renovating the front desk area, pro shop, locker rooms and mezzanine. The welcome center is expected to cost $800,000.
“We are so close to completing the Tennis Center renovation, and our hope is that the Steamboat Springs community will help our nonprofit organization reach the finish line,” said Tully. “The much-needed renovations to the Tennis Center will support youth, adults and seniors in the community and beyond.”
