Steamboat Symphony kicks off its 32nd season

The Steamboat Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its 32nd season with concerts called “Young Virtuosos” on Sept. 22-23 at 7 p.m. at the Strings Pavilion.

The concerts will feature the talent of youth musicians, Taryn Geiger, a 14-year-old violinist, and Winston Schneider, a 15-year-old composer, among others.

In addition to the concert, Geiger and Schneider will be visiting local elementary schools this week to share their love of music with young students, and to offer an opportunity for them to learn about composing, the violin, the piano and the positive impact music can have.
