Steamboat Stinger registration set to open
Steamboat Springs — Registration opens at noon Wednesday for the Steamboat Stinger, and if the past is any indication, riders hoping to pedal in the 50-mile mountain bike race had best be sitting near that computer.
The event is scheduled for mid-August, with a mountain bike race Aug. 15, and the 26.2-mile trail marathon Aug. 16. Both races will take place on a roughly 25-mile course on Emerald Mountain in downtown Steamboat Springs, two laps for the bike race and one for the running event.
The bike race will cost $90 for the solo division and $160 for the duo category. The running race will be $60 for the full marathon and $45 for the half marathon.
