Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club mogul skiers collect top spots in Australia

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club mogul skiers competed in the Australian National Freestyle Mogul Championships at the end of their three-week camp.

The competition featured a lineup of the world’s best mogul skiers from the U.S., Canada, Korea, Japan, France and Switzerland competing on Perisher’s Toppa Dream run, one of the longest and most challenging mogul championship courses in the world.

On Day 1 of competition on Aug. 27, Kenzie Radway, 15, placed 14th overall, which included a third placing in the 14- to 18-year-old division.

Landon Wendler, 17, placed ninth overall in the men’s category, which included first in the 14 to 18 division. Wyatt “Bubba” Antkiewicz, 17, placed 15th overall in the men’s category with a second place in the 14 to 18 division. Spencer Belsky, 19, took 18th overall.

Radway returned even stronger in the women’s division on Day 2, taking 10th overall, including second place in the 14 to 18 division. Antkiewicz was 14th overall, but grabbed first in the 14 to 18 division. Spencer Belsky would take 17th overall, just outside the top 16 finalists.
