Steamboat Springs’ U Grok It business raises $200K
Steamboat’s Carrie and Tony Requist, owners of U Grok It, announced Wednesday the closing of their seed funding round, with the completion of a $200,000 convertible note by five investors, according to a news release.
The investment allows U Grok It — a smartphone attachment that allows people to locate, identify, track and inventory items using economical radio-frequency identification tags, or RFIDs — to create about 20 demo units for customer and partner testing as well as begin taking pre-orders.
The product makes the supply chain technology more affordable for small- and medium-sized businesses, according to the release.
“Completing this round of funding is another vote of confidence that U Grok It will succeed,” Carrie Requist said.
