Steamboat Springs to host airport master plan open house

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The city of Steamboat Springs is currently preparing an airport master plan for the Steamboat Springs Airport, also known as Bob Adams Field, to determine the facility’s current and future development requirements. Public input will be accepted through the planning process, and the city will host a public open house on the master plan from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Steamboat Springs FBO Terminal, 3499 Airport Circle.

The Federal Aviation Administration recommends that airport master plans be updated every 10 years. A master plan was last completed for the airport in 2008, and the update is anticipated to be completed in about 15 months.

The primary objective of the master plan will be to reassess airport development needs and priorities and prepare a 20-year development plan for the facility.
