Steamboat Springs Police responded to a call about a vehicle that crashed into the front of Lyon’s Corner Drug & Soda Fountain around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to police Sgt. Evan Noble.
According to Noble, the driver was transported to the hospital after the crash due to a medical emergency that caused the crash.
Noble also stated that no one else was hurt in the crash, and no one was in the store at the time of the crash.
There was “significant damage” to both the vehicle and Lyon’s Drug, according to Noble. However, the drugstore is open today.
Police will further investigate the crash once the driver is in “better condition,” said Noble.
