STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The culmination of countless rehearsal hours and fine-tuning will manifest through mesmerizing moments of talent and expression this weekend.

“Meraki,” this year’s Steamboat Springs High School Dance Showcase production, takes to the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Steamboat Springs High School Auditorium.

“’Meraki’ means putting the essence of yourself into your work,” said Shay Adamo, one of the high school production’s producers. “We have seen those qualities in every choreographer and dancer this year. We’re blown away by the variety and creativity.”

As the 22nd annual Dance Showcase, the performance will feature 77 student dancers and more variety of styles that are new to the repertoire.

“Over the years, we have created a deep-rooted tradition in our community that many of the locals will go to every year,” said Adamo. “It is also a current statement of our school’s current culture, which I think is shown to the community during our show every year.”

Tickets are $20 reserved, $12 general admission, $8 for students K-12 and $5 for students with an activity pass.
