Members of Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue will directly serve under a shift captain or lieutenant and will take on a variety of responsibilities, including fire suppression, medical emergencies, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, public education, safety inspections and more.

All applicants must meet minimum requirements. Additional details can be found online at TinyUrl.com/5ee8rwuc.

Salaries range between $70,269 and $111,263 with the addition of full benefits. The hiring process will include a formal application, interview, written and physical ability tests, a psychological evaluation, a background check, and firefighter fitness and health screenings.

“No two days are ever alike,” added Deputy Chief Ian Satterfield in a statement. “Every call brings a new challenge that tests our skills and strengthens our commitment to serving the Yampa Valley.”
