Steamboat Springs City Council to meet for retreat Friday at Sheraton

— The Steamboat Springs City Council will meet at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort on Friday for a goal-setting retreat.

The special meeting, which is open to the public, starts at 8 a.m. in the Aspen Room of the resort.

The council will discuss goals for the coming year and weigh in on potential ballot initiatives they might want to put to voters.

Council members will also spend some time reviewing the progress they’ve made on this year’s goals.

Public comment will be accepted as close to 11 a.m. as possible.

The council’s next regular meeting starts at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Items on the agenda include potential changes to the city’s dog rules and the possible approval of a memorandum of understanding with Routt County for the construction of a shared law enforcement facility.
