Steamboat Springs Chamber and Alpine Bank to present first-ever Sailors Thrive Together Summit for Steamboat Springs High School
The Steamboat Springs Chamber and Alpine Bank will present Sailors Thrive Together, a new leadership summit designed specifically for sophomores at SSHS, from 8:25-10:20 a.m Nov. 15 at Steamboat Springs High School.
Sailors Thrive Together is a new event modeled after the Thrive Together Women’s Summit, an event the chamber has partnered with Alpine Bank to produce for the past six years. It will promote the SSHS SAIL principles of Spirit, Accountability, Inclusion and Leadership while providing resources and strategies to empower change.
“Bringing top-notch speakers and resources directly into the school for our sophomore class will have a positive and long-lasting impact,” Alpine Bank Market President Adonna Allen said. “We can’t wait to see how the students take what they learn and apply their ideas, skills and enthusiasm for betterment in our community.”
The morning summit will include keynote and breakout sessions with topics covering the many challenges and opportunities the sophomore class has ahead of them. The keynote speaker will be Susanmarie Oddo, MindUp Facilitator, SSSD, and Gifted & Talented Coordinator at SSHS and YVHS. The breakout sessions will be hosted by many other local business and leaders in the community.
Since this event was designed for the high school specifically, the event will not be available to the public. For more information on topics and speakers, go to the event page on the Steamboat Springs Chamber website.
