Steamboat Springs boys basketball defeats Eagle Valley on the road

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Springs High School (19-3, 10-1) defeated Eagle Valley (8-12, 3-9) 71-32 on the road Thursday, Feb. 14.

As a team, the Sailors shot 81 percent from the line and 57 percent from the field. They amassed 21 defensive rebounds and four offensive rebounds for a total of 25 rebounds.

Senior Aden Knaus had 23 points, including a four-for-four effort from the line and a three-for-seven effort from the arc. Junior Ethan Pyles tallied 12 points, making all three of his 2-point field goals and making two of his three 3-pointers with four assists.

The Sailors have their last regular season home game against Summit (5-17, 0-11) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.
