Steamboat Sotheby’s brokers recognized for outstanding performance

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty brokers were recently acknowledged for their achievements and outstanding performance in 2018. More than 40 brokers were recognized for their accomplishments.

Ren Martyn received the Top Producer-Individual award, and Cheryl Foote received the Top Producer-Team award as well as Most Transactions Closed and Most Listings Taken acknowledgments. Other awards included: Kiyah Roe, Rookie of the Year; Sunny Brstina, Largest Production Increase; and Ray Wright, Outstanding Service.

In 2018, the Steamboat Springs real estate market saw fewer transactions when compared to 2017, while at the same time total sales volume increased 6 percent year over year, recording the second highest sales volume in Steamboat MLS history. This is only the second time since 1996 that the phenomenon of fewer transactions and higher sales volume occurred simultaneously, indicating an increase in property values across the market.

Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty recorded $665 million in sales volume in 2018. With almost 1,000 transactions closed in 2018, Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty reports they participated in 75 percent of the sales between $750,000 and $1 million, 66 percent of sales in the $1 million to $2 million range, 71 percent of sales from $2 million to $4 million and 83 percent of the sales over $4 million.

Locally owned and operated, the company also contributed more than $60,000 to local nonprofits and organizations through its philanthropic efforts in 2018.
