Steamboat soccer wins on road
The Steamboat Springs High School boys soccer team won on the road Friday night, beating Palisade 6-1.
After starting slow earlier in the week in a loss to Battle Mountain, the Sailors opened Friday’s game with five consecutive goals, taking a 5-0 lead into halftime. Ross Van Hara scored twice, while Ross Stuart, Tristan Arnis and Crus Archuleta each scored once for the squad.
The win improves the team to 3-1 on the season. It plays again at 11 a.m. today on the road at Delta.
