Steamboat Soccer Club is hosting a fundraiser at the Old Town Pub from 6-10 p.m. on Nov. 11.
The silent auction will raise money to support Steamboat Soccer Club’s Scholarship Fund. The fund helps local families and athletes paying for club registration fees, uniforms, camp registration fees and other expenses.
The club’s aim is to never turn a young athlete away from playing soccer in Steamboat and as the club approaches its 40-year anniversary, it hopes to be set up for the coming years.
Tickets for the event are $100 and can be purchased at http://www.steamboat-soccer.com, those who cannot attend but would like to make an impact can also make donations on the club’s site.
The event is “Second Chance Prom” themed with tickets including food, an open bar, dancing, pictures and the silent auction.
