STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Nothing says the holidays like bubbly cocktails and spicy spirits to warm any festive celebration.

Search no further for the perfect New Year’s Eve cocktail. Yampy’s has just the thing to ring in 2019. They call it the “Crisp Apple Mimosa.”

This pairing of crisp apple with a perfectly chilled sparkling wine — try a nice, dry Prosecco or Champagne to balance the sweetness of the cider — is a match made for New Year’s libations. And don’t forget the garnish to add an elegant flair. Cheers!
Yampy’s Crisp Apple Mimosa
  • 1.5 ounces Ciroc Apple Vodka (or apple cider)
  • 0.25 ounce elderflower liqueur (St. Germaine is what Yampy’s uses)
  • Champagne or Prosecco (drier the better)
Combine the apple vodka and elderflower liqueur in a cocktail shaker about half full of ice.
Shake well and strain the concoction into a champagne flute until it’s about half full.
Fill the rest of the glass with Champagne or Prosecco.
Garnish with green apple slice, sprig of fresh rosemary or sugar rim.
For sugar rim: Take a wet paper towel and run it along the rim of the glasses. Then combine cinnamon and sugar on a shallow plate. Turn the champagne flute upside down and coat the rim with the cinnamon-sugar mix. Keep turning it until the rim is coated in the mixture to your liking.
