STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs honored Delaney Moon as the Student of the Month for April. The Steamboat Springs High School senior is an outstanding student with a gpa of over 4.0. Delaney has committed to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to study kinesiology and Spanish in the fall.

She is a captain on the varsity girls soccer team and an active member in National Honor Society.

Danica Moss, the high school college and career counselor, nominated Delaney for the honor and said her selection was based on character.

When asked to describe herself, Delaney said, “The traits that I think are most admirable are my honesty, patience, leadership skills, work ethic and positive attitude. Through the stressful times in life, I am able to put a smile on my face and find a way to get through adversities. I strive to give 100% in everything I do.”
