Steamboat school board accepting applications for new board member

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Steamboat Springs School District school board is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the board from the date of appointment in November until the next regular school election in November 2019. To be eligible for appointment, each candidate must be a registered voter in the school district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of appointment.

Any person who meets the qualifications and who wants to be considered for the appointment should contact Deb Ginesta at 970-871-3193 or dginesta@ssk12.org to get information regarding documents required for applying. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, biographical information and answer eight interview questions.

The deadline for applying is 10 a.m. Nov. 26. Documents can be turned into the board secretary at the District Office, 325 Seventh St. The school board will interview prospective candidates during a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 29.
