Following its LobsterFest fundraiser on Aug. 12, the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club awarded a check for $86,383.97 to Advocates of Routt County.

According to the Rotary Club, Mark Fitzgerald and Hannah Kaufmann thanked the club for its support, as the funds will be used to provide services to victims of domestic violence in Steamboat and Routt County.

LobsterFest is an annual fundraiser presented by the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club, and most recently has been held in hangars at the Steamboat Springs Airport, where guests are served a delicious lobster dinner, and enjoy a silent auction, wine pull and live band.

More than $365,000 has been raised at LobsterFest over the years, which has been donated to local nonprofit organizations.

In addition to its donation to Advocates, LobsterFest also provided $15,000 to the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club for other community grants and scholarships it confers each year.
