Steamboat Resort will auction off a select number of trail signs and eight chairs from the retired Priest Creek chairlift next week.

The auction will be conducted online beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14 and will run through midnight Oct. 23.

The resort says the trail signs available for auction are “one-of-a-kind powder-coated aluminum.” The Priest Creek chairs available for the auction were removed from the now dormant lift in 2022.

Funds raised through the auction will be directed to the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp.’s charitable fund, which is a donor-advised fund of the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. The fund provides grants and scholarships that benefit individuals and organizations throughout the Yampa Valley.

Those who secure an item in the auction must pick it up in person at the Meadows parking lot between 8 a.m. and noon Nov. 1. Specific sign and chair dimensions will be listed on the auction item description.

“Chairs cannot be stored beyond this time frame, delivered or shipped — no exceptions,” according to the resort. “Specific sign and chair dimensions will be listed on the auction item description to determine vehicle pick up requirements.”
