Steamboat police investigating series of break-ins

— The Steamboat Springs Police Department is investing a string of break-ins that were reported Friday morning.

Commander Annette Dopplick said by late Friday morning, the department had received seven reports.

Several were at 1120 S. Lincoln Ave., where insurance and salon businesses are located. The others were at offices a few blocks away, in the 500 block of Anglers Drive.

It was not immediately know if anything had been taken.

Police detectives are investigating and ask that any other victims contact Routt County Communications at 970-879-1090. They are also seeking any information about the incidents or who may be responsible.
