Steamboat Pilot & Today hosts community event Wednesday
The Steamboat Pilot & Today’s next Coffee and a Newspaper event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at the newspaper’s new offices in the 910 Yampa Building downtown. Those who plan to attend will have the opportunity to meet the newspaper’s new publisher Logan Molen and tour the new offices. Free coffee and pastries will be served. 4th annual Steamboat Spring Movement Fest starts Thursday
Steamboat Springs plays host to the 4th annual Steamboat Movement Fest. The celebration of yoga, the community and the outdoors is slated for Thursday, Aug. 9 to Sunday, Aug. 12, in downtown Steamboat Springs. The fest features Jeremy Wolfe, Tyrone Beverly, Patrick Harrington and Jill Minard with music by Katie Wise & the Bhakti Explosion, Buddha Bomb and more. The festival will take place at the Steamboat Springs Art Depot, Library Hall, the Yoga Center of Steamboat and other scenic outdoor locations. Steamboat Movement Fest is also looking for volunteers to assist in all capacities as greeters, door monitors, registration, Vendor Village, Kids Move Fest, setup and tear-down.
Volunteers must commit to working 14 hours throughout the festival weekend from Thursday, Aug. 9 to Monday, Aug. 13 and are required to attend a meet and greet training from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8.
