Jay Roemer Band makes Steamboat debut at Chief Theater Friday

The Jay Roemer Band will make its Steamboat Springs debut at 7 p.m. Friday at the Chief Theater.
A group of friends, who met through the Colorado acoustic-folk-bluegrass scene, have been performing a number of their original songs across the state headlining the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Cervantes in Denver and Telluride.
Comprised of Jay Roemer, frontman from the local Old Town Pickers, Dave Carroll from Trampled By Turtles, Bevin Foley from Trout Steak Revival, Jarett Mason from Chain Station and Denton Turner from Buffalo Commons, the Steamboat-based band showcases a wide array of instruments and musical aptitude.
"I’m very lucky to be able to call up the most talented people I know and have them all agree to learn my songs and perform them at top-notch venues across the state," Roemer said.
Roemer said the reason these venues are returning his emails is a result of the individual credentials each musician has earned separately, which are now combined to form what he thinks of as "a super group."
"Traveling around this great state we all call home and playing my songs with this group of individuals is a dream come true," Roemer added. "We are all excited for the hometown (home for three out of five of us anyway) show on Friday."
