Steamboat man suspected of incest

— Steamboat Springs police Tuesday arrested a 48-year-old man who is suspected of sexually assaulting his daughter.

The Routt County District Attorney’s Office filed formal felony charges Wednesday.

The charges include two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, two counts of sexual assault on a child with a pattern of abuse and two counts of incest.



According to the charges, the incidents happened during two separate occasions in February, and the daughter was younger than 15 years old.

Details about the incidents were not available because the man’s warrant has been sealed.
