Steamboat hockey falls at home
Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs High School hockey team fell behind early Friday night, and it never was a threat to catch back up against a Monarch squad that won in Steamboat, 10-0.
The Coyotes got their first goal 33 seconds in and had a 5-0 lead by the end of the first period. They added two in the second and three in the third, racking up 39 shots to Steamboat’s 13.
The loss drops the Sailors to 1-11 on the season. They play next at 7 p.m. Tuesday on the road against Battle Mountain.
