Steamboat briefs: Tread of Pioneers Museum sponsors scavenger hunt Wednesday
The Tread of Pioneers Museum in downtown Steamboat Springs will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The museum is sponsoring a downtown scavenger hunt in historic Steamboat buildings. Stop by the museum between 4 and 7 p.m. to pick up the scavenger hunt list.
Apply for Gloria Gossard Special Grants by June 1
In June, the Yampa Valley Community Foundation will award $30,000 in grants to organizations within the Steamboat Springs community in honor of Gloria Gossard. This is a one-time granting opportunity outside the Community Foundation’s annual community grants cycle and was made possible through an additional distribution from Gossard’s estate. Grant recipients will be announced at the Celebration of Philanthropy on June 24.
The Gloria Gossard Special Grants are limited to organizations or programs providing arts and culture, education or health and human services within Steamboat Springs. Further, the grants are for special projects or eminent organizational needs.

Resource Fair for Teens in Routt County is Thursday
The Resource Fair for Teens in Routt County is from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Olympian Hall. The fair will provide youths ages 16 to 21 the opportunity to connect with area employers and community service organizations. Teens also can learn about careers, resume writing, interview skills and more. The event is sponsored by the Steamboat Workforce Center, Grand Futures Prevention Coalition and the Colorado Governor’s Summer Job Hunt.
