Steamboat briefs: Steamboat offers update on construction projects
Continuing Monday, Yampa Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Sixth and Eighth streets, including both the Sixth and Seventh street intersections. The Sixth Street intersection will be closed until Friday as crews finish electrical undergrounding work and paving.
Portions of the sidewalk on the south side of Yampa Street will be closed intermittently, with pedestrian crossing corridors maintained between Seventh and Eighth streets and Sixth and Seventh streets. The public parking lot at Seventh and Yampa streets will remain open with access via Seventh Street.
Shoppers and visitors are reminded that additional nearby parking is available at the 10th and Yampa street parking lot, the rodeo grounds parking lot and Howelsen Hill parking lots.
Construction work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
On Oak Street, closures will be in effect between Fourth and Fifth streets and Seventh and Eighth streets. On-street parking in these areas will be closed at times during the week.
Pedestrian access to buildings will be maintained along existing sidewalks, and through access along Oak Street will be open throughout the week.
