New guide provides array of resources for home seekers

The new Colorado Housing Financial Assistance Guide provides an array of resources to those across the state who face challenges staying in their home or finding a new place to live.

The comprehensive guide provides information about more than 100 organizations across Colorado that offer financial support for those in need of housing help. The guide is available in both English and Spanish at caahq.org under resident resources.

The resources are organized by region, covering the Denver metro area, Southeastern Colorado, Northern Colorado, Boulder and the Western Slope.

The guide is provided as a public service by the Colorado Apartment Association, along with additional support from the Colorado Association of Realtors, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, Colorado Housing Connects and the Colorado Division of Housing.

“Fortunately, there are many organizations doing great work to provide housing assistance but tracking them all down may be hard,” said Nancy Burke, vice president of government and community affairs at the Colorado Apartment Association, in a news release. “This guide pulls all these resources into a single source, organized by geography, to help Coloradans access them quickly and conveniently to find the help they need.”

Two statewide helplines can provide a good place to start for those seeking help. They are the Colorado Housing Connects Hotline at 844-926-6632 and the Colorado Foreclosure Hotline 877-601-4673.
