Steamboat briefs: Registration is open for Steamboat summer camps

Steamboat Springs — Registration is open for the city of Steamboat Springs' licensed summer camps and mini-sprouts programs. Activities include swimming, bowling, biking, hiking, canoeing, camping, mini-golf and more. The summer camp is for children 5 years old through sixth grade and costs $30 a day. The camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. weekdays. Mini-sprouts is available for 3- to 5-year-olds from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for $15 a day. Quality backcountry gear needed for youth corps

Tread of Pioneers Museum is looking for volunteers
The Tread of Pioneers Museum is seeking volunteers. The Steamboat Springs museum needs front desk volunteers to work three-hour shifts. Duties include greeting visitors, answering phones and collecting admissions and gift shop sales. Friday and Saturday afternoon shifts especially are needed.
